The State Administration for Market Regulation recently released a draft of guidelines on strengthening the supervision of online live marketing activities for a month to solicit public opinions.

In view of the 7 types of live streaming behaviors such as "brush single and letter specking", inadequate implementation of platform responsibilities, weak after-sales service guarantee, network anchors cheating and misleading consumers, selling fake and shoddy products, food safety issues, and price fraud, the draft for comments clarifies the laws and regulations and relevant measures based on the investigation and punishment of 7 types of behaviors according to law. It also requires clarification of the legal responsibilities of network platform operators, commodity operators, network anchors and other relevant subjects.
