The Magen River Flowing north and south, there are Great Bear Lake , Great Slave Lake Two big lakes. The economy is relatively developed. It is rich in timber and minerals. There are uranium mines at Radium Harbor near Great Bear Lake, lead and zinc mines near Great Slave Lake, gold mines at Yellowknife, and oil extraction and refining at Fort Norman and Norman Wells on the Macongo River. Aklavik is where the Canadian government keeps reindeer. There are national park attractions.
