Following his appointment, Mr. Deng outlined his priorities and vision for the future of WIPO, stating that it would work along three main lines: inclusive, inclusive and future-oriented.

Mr. Tang Hongsen graduated from

Prior to his appointment as Director-General of WIPO, Mr. Deng served as
Intellectual Property Office of Singapore
Director of IPOS. Prior to joining the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, Mr. Tang held various legal positions in the Attorney-General's Office and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore from 1997 to 2012. From May 2017 until his appointment as Director-General, Mr Deng also served as Chairman of WIPO's Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR).
