In the first round, the organizing committee of the Shanghai TV Festival commissioned Deloitte to send votes to 70 professional film selectors across the country. The film selectors scored the registered TV series with their professional eyes. After the votes were collected and counted by Deloitte, the shortlist was automatically generated according to the ratings of the 70 professional film selectors.
In the second round, 70 professional film selectors received votes again, and the selectors gave ratings to the shortlisted films and the nominees. At the same time, each member of the TV drama panel will also give a score in the same form. The two scores are 70% of the 70 professional selectors and 30% of the TV drama panel, which are weighted to produce a narrow list for the jury to make a final decision.
In the third round, the jury of the TV drama unit will select the winner of each award of the final "Magnolia" Award TV drama unit based on the small list obtained in the second round of statistics. Each judge may cast one vote. If the nominated plays or awards involve judges and other special circumstances, the relevant judges are obliged to take actions such as avoidance or abstention. In this case, the chairman of the jury has the right to cast two votes to ensure the fairness and impartiality of the selection.
In terms of variety awards, the organizing committee of the Shanghai TV Festival invited front-line practitioners of variety shows, representatives of broadcast platforms, TV program review researchers, senior media reporters and editors, etc., to form a 30-member professional review committee. Deloitte sent the votes to the 30 judges from across the country and collected and tallied the results. After two rounds of voting by professional judges, the Best variety Show and best reality Show will be automatically awarded.
