The General Office of the State Council issued the Notice on the Selection of the 17th China Film Huabian Awards, requiring the recommendation of the types of films to participate in the evaluation: Feature films, children's films, rural films, ethnic minority films and animated films, all the above types of films produced from November 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018, and films released in cinemas nationwide and generating good social and economic benefits, can be recommended for evaluation.

The film Wolf Warrior 2 not only won box office results, but also brought Wu Jing a series of honors. Wolf Warrior 2 won the Outstanding Feature film award, and Wu Jing himself won the Outstanding Actor Award at the Huabui Awards. Two works "Operation Mekong" and "Operation Red Sea" award-winning Lam Chaoxian no doubt became the winner of the Excellent Director Award.
