2005 1st Session
October 29, 2005 JZ Club
The first Shanghai Jazz Festival, which was born in JZ Club, has quite the taste of musicians gathering and exchanging ideas. Five groups of musicians, led by Cui Jian and Bugge Wesseltoft from Norway, filled the small JZ with electric improvisations. The combination of rock and jazz, although not for the first time, did make music fans have a fresh feeling at that time, which was also the first step in determining the direction of the Shanghai Jazz Festival and showing a variety of musical elements.
