On June 5, 2020, Park Byung-seok was elected as the Speaker of the first half of the 21st National Assembly. ^[1]

Reported on May 12, 2017, Korea Government decision to dispatch Minjoo Party Lawmaker Park Byung-seok led a delegation Peking To participate in the "Belt and Road" Summit Forum held on 14-15.

From February 3 to 6, 2022, Park Byung-seok, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, will visit China and attend Beijing Winter Olympics Opening ceremony ^[5] During his visit, Park Byeong-seok will communicate with the Chinese side on plans to expand parliamentary exchanges between the two countries, visit the South Korean Winter Olympic delegation and encourage athletes. ^[4] On the morning of February 4, Park Byung-seok, the speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, who will attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, accepted China Media Group Interview with reporters. In April 2022, the reform of "completely depriving prosecutors of the right to investigate" promoted by the ruling Minjoo Party in the last month of the Moon Jae-in administration caused strong dissatisfaction among prosecutors.
