On the afternoon of 18 October 2018, the Malaysian anti-Corruption Commission confirmed that former Deputy Prime Minister Zahid was arrested at the Commission's headquarters in Putrajaya. According to a statement issued by the committee at noon, they obtained the approval of the Attorney-General's Department, decided to arrest Zahid in connection with the investigation of alleged abuse of power, breach of trust and money laundering of "a foundation", and decided to charge him to the Kuala Lumpur court on the 19th morning. [1]
On September 23, 2022, the Kuala Lumpur High Court acquitted Zahid, president of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, in the Visa System case. [4]

On January 24, 2022, the Kuala Lumpur High Court ruled that Zahid, president of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), was found guilty on all 47 counts of prima facie charges in the Healthy Mind Fund case (that is, found that the prosecution had provided prima facie evidence on the charges), and the case will then enter the stage of defence.
Zahid said after the verdict on the same day that he accepted the court's ruling (requiring the defense to defend itself) and would appear in court to defend himself at the next stage. In addition to the Healthy Mind Fund case, Zahid has been charged with about 40 counts of bribery in other cases, which are still pending. [3]
On December 30, 2022, Malaysian prosecutors announced that they had appealed the acquittal of the current Deputy Prime Minister Zahid in the bribery case of the "visa system" on the 29th. The Malaysian Court of Appeal will begin pre-trial preparations for the case on January 10, 2023. [9]
