The supporting facilities of Zhangjiakou Competition area, the main residence of athletes, coaches and delegation members from various countries and regions during the competition, undertakes all the Winter Olympic and Winter Paralympic athletes and officials in accommodation, catering, entertainment, leisure and other aspects of service work, and is also a place for athletes from various countries and regions to hold international exchanges and gala activities.

Taizi City is located in the central area of the competition, and the construction of a tourist town centered on snow and ice. Taizicheng connects the two venues of Genting and Guyangshu, and sets up functional groups such as transportation hub, commercial service, conference exchange, sports training, etc., and comprehensively builds an international standard barrierfree system.

The Olympic Village has a total of 10 groups, 31 buildings and 1668 rooms. All the buildings in the Olympic Village are not higher than the mountain, unlike the tall buildings in the city, in the Olympic Village can give people a very relaxed comfort.

On March 8, 2018, Wu Weidong, deputy to the National People's Congress and mayor of Zhangjiakou City, said that the work of the Zhangjiakou competition area of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games was fully carried out and promoted in an orderly manner according to the time node, and the project design of "three games and one village" was started, which was expected to officially start in May 2018.

"Three events" refers to the ski jumping, cross-country skiing and biathlon venues, and "One village" refers to the Zhangjiakou Olympic Village. Of the 76 venues and infrastructure supporting projects, 43 have been started and 22 more will be started in 2018.

On November 23, the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games (Winter Paralympic Village) carried out the first routine power load test and lighting ceremony.

From December 21 to 22, 2021, the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village (Winter Paralympic Village) held a full element test. A total of 2,493 people participated in the test, and 27 scenarios were set up in 8 routine subjects, including welcome reception, catering support, nucleic acid sampling, commercial services, and opening and closing ceremony drills, and 4 emergency drill subjects were set up, including athletes' accident and emergency, fire fighting and personnel evacuation.

On January 13, 2022, Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village started closed-loop management on the same day and entered the state of competition.

On January 27, 2022, the Winter Olympic villages of the three regions of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games were officially opened, and the large troops of various delegations entered the Winter Olympic villages of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou one after another.

The Winter Olympic Village will provide "53 days x 24 hours" security services for participating athletes and accompanying team officials.

For the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village has hosted more than 2,300 athletes and team officials.

On February 23, the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village entered the preparatory and conversion stage of the Winter Paralympic Games.
Officially opened on February 25, the Zhangjiakou Winter Paralympic Village will welcome more than 700 athletes and team officials.

Hebei Province is preparing the "Snow and Ice sports Development Plan" and "snow and ice industry Development Plan", and will build Zhangjiakou into a national snow and ice equipment production base in about three years.
The funds of the "three events and one village" project are strictly monitored throughout the whole process, and the service guarantee work is comprehensively promoted, and the work plan for catering, accommodation, medical care, security and volunteer services is now being prepared. We will use advanced environmental protection, energy saving and intelligent technologies to promote the construction of venues, infrastructure and supporting projects.
On January 27, 2022, the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games officially opened the village and officially launched the operation mode during the games.
