Choi Min-jung

Born in Seoul, South Korea on September 9, 1998, Choi began skating in 2004, influenced and encouraged by her father ^[1] . Cui Minjing put his future as an athlete early, and her mother also fully supported her. Every time Choi Min-jung's coach changes the rink, the whole family moves with him. From Sindang-dong, Seoul, to Hyehwa-dong, Bundang, Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and back to Bundang, Yeonnam-dong, and now home, the family has moved seven times to train for skating ^[18] .

In March 2014, Choi made her debut at the World Junior Short Track speed Skating Championships, winning a gold medal in the 1,000 meters and a silver medal in the 1,500 meters ^[23] . In January 2020, at the first ISU Short Track Speed Skating Four Continents Championships held in Montreal, Canada, Choi Min-jung won the 500 meters in 43.684 seconds, the 1000 meters in 1:32.712 seconds, the 1500 meters in 2:41.270 seconds, and the all-around championship in 136 points ^[14] .
