The Association of National and Regional Olympic Committees, referred to as the International Olympic Association.
The Association was established in 1979 to safeguard the rights and interests of National Olympic Committees in the Olympic Movement and to strengthen the links between the National Olympic Committees and other bodies such as international sports organizations. [1]

In accordance with the statutes of the IOC, the General Assembly meets annually and elects a new President, First Vice-President and Executive Committee members every four years. Acting President of the International Olympic Committee from Fiji Robin Mitchell Elected President of the International Olympic Committee. In addition, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Oceania elected vice Presidents representing their respective continents. Sheikh Juan bin Hamad al-Thani of Qatar served as Vice President representing the OCA and was elected First Vice President of the International Olympic Association.
The IOC Executive Committee is elected from within the associations of National Olympic Committees of each continent. Li Lingwei became one of the five IOC executive Committee members representing the Olympic Council of Asia, along with members from India, Kazakhstan, Thailand and the Philippines . [1]
