In December 2019, the Cyberspace Administration of China issued the "Regulations on Ecological Governance of Network Information Content" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"), which will come into force on March 1, 2020. The relevant person in charge of the State Internet Information Office said that the introduction of the "regulations" aims to create a good network ecology, protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations, and safeguard national security and public interests.

To implement the policies and policies of Internet information dissemination and promote the legal construction of Internet information dissemination; to guide, coordinate and urge relevant departments to strengthen the management of Internet information content; to be responsible for the approval and daily supervision of online news business and other related businesses; to guide relevant departments to make business layout planning in online cultural fields such as online games, online audiovisual and online publishing; Coordinate relevant departments to plan and implement the construction of Internet culture positions, take charge of the planning and construction of key news websites, organize and coordinate online publicity work, and investigate and punish illegal websites according to law. To guide the relevant departments to urge telecommunications operators, access service enterprises, domain name registration management and service organizations to do a good job of domain name registration, Internet address (IP address) assignment, website registration and filing, access and other basic Internet management work, and guide the relevant Internet departments in various places to carry out work within the scope of their responsibilities.
