The Cyberspace Administration of the People's Republic of China was established in May 2011. Development course

In March 2018, The State Council issued the Notice of The State Council on the Establishment of Institutions, in which it was pointed out that the State Internet Information Office and the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, one institution with two brands, were included in the sequence of institutions directly under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Promulgate regulations

In December 2019, the Cyberspace Administration of China issued the "Regulations on Ecological Governance of Network Information Content" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"), which will come into force on March 1, 2020. The relevant person in charge of the State Internet Information Office said that the introduction of the "regulations" aims to create a good network ecology, protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations, and safeguard national security and public interests.
