The State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as The State Council Information Office), established in January 1991, is responsible for promoting Chinese media to explain China to the world, including introducing China's principles and policies, economic and social development, as well as Chinese history and culture.

Under the new office, there are 9 business bureaus, as well as Bureau of secretaries, Bureau of Personnel, Party committees and other departments. The State Information Office has three brands: International Communication Office of the CPC Central Committee (Foreign Propaganda Office), The State Council Information Office (State Information Office) and the State Internet Information Office (State Internet Office).
The Secretariat is responsible for liaison with the departments of The State Council and the provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) of the country, as well as documents and administrative affairs of the secretariat;
The first bureau is responsible for press release and foreign coverage of major events, compiling Chinese government white papers, and promoting Chinese media's foreign coverage;
The second bureau is responsible for developing international public relations and promoting exchanges and cooperation with foreign news organizations and other relevant institutions;
The third bureau is responsible for planning and organizing the production and publication of foreign books, film and television programs and comprehensive foreign exchange activities;
The fourth bureau is responsible for introducing China's policies, plans and methods to the outside world, and analyzing international public opinion;
The fifth bureau organizes and coordinates online news work, guides the planning and construction of news websites, and undertakes the work related to international exchange and cooperation of Internet news;
The sixth bureau guides the work of provincial (autonomous regions and municipalities) information offices and provides services for journalists from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to cover the mainland.
The seventh Bureau promoted the introduction of China's human rights cause and the development of Tibet, and organized foreign reports and exchange activities in the field of human rights and Tibet.
The eighth Bureau shall be responsible for the administration and examination and approval of financial information and news services provided by foreign institutions and news agencies within the territory of China;
The ninth Bureau undertakes the work of guiding, coordinating and supervising the construction and management of network culture;
The Personnel Bureau shall be responsible for the management and training of cadres of its own organs and subordinate units;
The Party committee is responsible for the ideological, organizational and style construction of the Party and the discipline inspection of the Party organs and units directly under them, and directs the work of workers, youth and women in the organs and units directly under them. [1]
