By summarizing and analyzing the main types and special needs of the disabled groups in various stakeholders, and combining the operation characteristics of the games, the Manual sorts out and extracts practical knowledge and innovative ideas for the services for the disabled in the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and uses plain language and visual illustrations. It introduced the service concept, service principles, demonstration applications and innovative suggestions for the disabled, and provided practical and effective support and guidance for the various business fields and venue teams to carry out the service work for the disabled.
The Handbook consists of four chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the basic concepts, including the Paralympic movement and disability view, disability classification, disability service concept and barrier-free facilities, etc. The second chapter introduces the etiquette, communication skills and service skills that should be paid attention to when providing services to the disabled. The third chapter analyzes the special needs of the disabled in combination with the service scenarios related to the games, and provides innovative ideas and practical knowledge of services in combination with specific situations; The fourth chapter introduces the main types of disabilities and special needs of the disabled in the various customer groups of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and provides the service items, service levels and methods that need to be focused on.
