All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce
Founded in 1953, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce is also known as the China Non-governmental Chamber of Commerce. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, it is a people's organization and chamber of commerce with private enterprises and private economic personnel as the main body, with the basic characteristics of united front, economy and civil organic unity. It is a bridge between the Party and the government to contact private economic personnel, an assistant to the government to manage and serve the private economy, and an important part of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. The work of the Federation of Industry and commerce is an important part of the party's united front work and economic work. In the early days of the founding of New China, the Federation of Industry and Commerce united the business community and made positive contributions to the resumption of production and the improvement of the country's financial and economic situation. With the theme of promoting the healthy development of the non-public sector and the healthy growth of the non-public sector, the Federation of Industry and Commerce mainly works with for-profit economic organizations that are wholly owned, controlled or have actual control by mainland natural persons or private capital, and for-profit economic organizations that are wholly owned, controlled or have actual control set up in the Mainland by natural persons or industrial and commercial capital from Hong Kong and Macao. The main investor and actual controller of a private enterprise, the main operator holding shares in a private enterprise, the natural majority shareholder of a private investment institution, the principal person in charge of a social organization in the industrial and commercial field with private enterprises and private economic personnel as the main body, the principal person in charge of a relevant social service organization, the principal partner of a private intermediary institution, the Hong Kong and Macao business people investing in the Mainland, Representative individual industrial and commercial enterprises.

The main work contents of ACFIC are: strengthening and improving the ideological and political work of private economic personnel; To participate in political consultations, play a role in democratic supervision, and actively participate in the deliberation and administration of state affairs; ; Fostering and developing chambers of commerce with Chinese characteristics; Cultivate and build a team of high-quality private economic personnel; To participate in the coordination of labor relations, cooperate with social governance, and promote social harmony and stability; Guide private enterprises and private businessmen to govern their enterprises, operate their businesses in accordance with the law, and protect their rights in accordance with the law; Strengthen the management, operation and protection of assets in accordance with the law.

The federation of industry and commerce shall establish national and local organizations. All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce is a national organization, referred to as the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; Industry and commerce federations at the provincial level and below are local organizations. The chamber of commerce affiliated to the Federation of Industry and Commerce is a social organization with private enterprises and private economic personnel as the main body, with the Federation of Industry and Commerce as the business unit in charge, formulating the articles of association of the Chamber of commerce and carrying out activities in accordance with laws and regulations and the articles of Association, and is the grass-roots organization and work of the federation of Industry and Commerce.

By the end of July 2022, there were 3,252 federations of industry and commerce at or above the county level, and 54,589 chambers of commerce affiliated to and associated with federations of industry and commerce at all levels, forming an organizational network covering the whole country.
