Jin became interested in figure skating after watching Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo's figure skating performances with his mother in 2002. In 2003, he began to learn figure skating under coach Chen Xiujing. In 2009, she studied with Xu Zhaoxiao and Fu Caishu.

In 2009, he won the National Junior Figure Skating Championship. In 2011, he participated in the Asian Figure Skating Championships and won the gold medal of men's junior single skating with a total score of 177.17.
In August 2012, she competed in the junior division of the International Figure Skating Grand Prix for the first time and won the gold medal in France with a total score of 194.13. In September, she won the second place of the junior Figure Skating Grand Prix in Slovenia.
In August 2013, she won the gold medal of the Latvian Junior Grand Prix. In October, she won the Estonia championship of the junior Grand Prix of figure skating. In December, she won the World Figure Skating Grand Prix Junior finals.
In September 2014, she won the gold medal of the Junior Figure Skating Grand Prix in Slovenia. In December, he won the gold medal at the National figure Skating Championships.
