Since winning the 2011 World Championships in the United Kingdom, she has been a breath of fresh wind, bringing new hope to the Chinese short track speed skating team. Fan was seen as China's best bet to win the women's 500 meters title after Wang Meng was unable to compete in Sochi, but for Fan to truly become China's new leader in short track speed skating, she needs at least one Olympic gold medal. Although Fan Kexin has a strong strength in the women's 500 meters project, her performance is not good enough in the long distance, and she needs to experience a long time of tempering.
