Filter industry applications

Glass filter discs, glass melts or glass melt discs are primarily used in analytical filtration, liquid filtration or various gas distribution applications such as heat diffusion and flow regulation in high purity applications.

Glass filter discs are made of the same high purity raw material as the substrate. Therefore, the filter disc is defined as a porous filter composed of bonded quartz glass particles.

When using glass filters, choosing the right porosity is the key to success. The porosity of the filter disc varies and can be expressed as 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to the grade.
