On November 6, Qiu Xiaoping, vice chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Trade and Investment Matchmaking Conference of the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which was co-organized by China International Import Expo Bureau, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and Bank of China. Vice Minister Sheng Qiuping delivered a video speech. Hua Yuan, vice mayor of Shanghai, Liu Jin, president of Bank of China, Ceferino S. Rodolfo, undersecretary of Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines and managing head of the Board of Investment, and Veerapong Malai, director-general of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion of Thailand, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

　　

Qiu Xiaoping pointed out that with the theme of “New Era, Shared Future”, the 6th CIIE has fulfilled its role as a platform for international procurement, investment promotion, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and open cooperation. It has demonstrated with concrete actions China’s determination to take the initiative to open its market to the world, fully showed China’s original aspiration to share development opportunities with other countries, deepen international economic and trade cooperation and achieve common prosperity and progress, and has built a bridge for foreign companies to enter and deeply explore the Chinese market. The Trade and Investment Matchmaking Conference is an important professional supporting event during the CIIE, which has become an important channel for exhibitors and buyers to achieve procurement and investment intentions and has played a significant role in helping the CIIE “feature good performance, good results and continued success in the years to come”. In the next step, the ACFIC and Bank of China will deepen strategic cooperation in a deeper, higher-level and wider areas to better help private enterprises expand overseas business and promote the development of the private economy.

　　

Centering on six major industrial themes, this year’s CIIE Trade and Investment Matchmaking Conference focused on promoting “exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors”, further upgraded service content, innovated service forms and scenarios, carefully built a comprehensive service platform integrating trade negotiations, investment exchanges and financial docking, and provided more accurate and efficient services for exhibitors, buyers and investors. After the opening ceremony, the participants made a tour of the exhibition hall.
