What is the difference between a trademark and a business name or shop name?

1, the composition of the enterprise name contains four basic elements: administrative division name, shop name, industry or business characteristics, organizational form, such as XX province, Yongda, trademark office, limited company or XX district, Kehui, dental clinic, (individual industrial and commercial households). The name of an enterprise is a mark to distinguish the identity of the producer or operator. It can only be composed of text, and the part of the name must not be highlighted when used, otherwise it may infringe on the exclusive right of others to use the trademark. A trademark is a mark used on a particular good or service, which can be text, letters, graphics, or a combination thereof.
2. The registration and protection of trademarks and enterprise names are based on different laws, and the scope of protection is also different. The business name may be registered in the local industry and Commerce Department, and the trademark must be registered in the State Trademark Office. The scope of the brand name protection is generally within the indicated administrative division, and the scope of the trademark protection is the whole country.
