In recent years, Jilin Province, with its good development trend, has continuously attracted high-quality foreign enterprises to invest and develop. Up to now, there are 1,469 foreign-invested enterprises from 83 countries (regions) in the province, with a cumulative foreign investment of nearly 27.2 billion US dollars, and 53 of the world's top 500 enterprises such as Volkswagen, Audi and Toyota have invested and started business in Kyrgyzstan.
Growth drivers are gaining momentum. In the past year, major economic and trade exchange activities such as the Import Expo into Jilin, the China-Northeast Asia Expo, the Multinational Company Jilin Trip, and the Sino-German Automobile Conference have been held successively. 159 Fortune 500 and well-known multinational enterprises have entered Jilin, and the actual utilization of foreign capital has increased by 14.1% year-on-year.
The quality of development has been comprehensively improved. Industrial policies such as "smart transformation" in the manufacturing industry, "upgrading" of the automobile industry cluster, deep processing of corn, biomedical and life health, and electronic information manufacturing were introduced. Audi FAW new energy vehicles were put into trial production at the end of the year, and CRRC Changpassenger high-speed EMUs were successfully exported to Europe. Newly registered foreign-funded enterprises increased by 37% year-on-year, and 1,298 new import and export enterprises were added. It's a five-year high.
The development environment has been continuously improved. Key activities such as "Changbai Mountain Friendship Award" and "Excellent Foreign Experts" award were held in high quality, and 53 foreign experts from 20 countries, including Academician Batalova of Russia, Mr. Merian of Germany, and Dr. Skosen of Italy, won awards, becoming an important force for close friendly exchanges between Jilin and the world.
The service level has been significantly improved. The contact system for 100 key foreign companies was formally established, ensuring smooth service channels for each key foreign company. The three-level complaint network of foreign-funded enterprises has been further improved, and 89 complaint lines of provinces, cities and counties have been specially accepted, creating a first-class business environment.
In 2024, Jilin Province will focus on cultivating "four clusters", developing "six new industries" and building "four new facilities" to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with Jilin characteristics and advantages. Solidly carry out a series of "going out" and "Please come in" activities such as the well-known multinational company Jilin Travel, and constantly expand new space and opportunities for international cooperation; Adhere to the "hard measures" to pay close attention to the "soft environment", continue to create a market-oriented, legalized, international first-class business environment, provide first-class service guarantee for the development of enterprises, and make Jilin a fertile land for investment and business development.
