China New Net Changchun, December 9 (reporter Guo Jia) The first Jilin International Commodity Online Trading Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Jilin Fair") opened in Changchun, Jilin province on the 9th, with more than 1,000 enterprises from more than 70 countries and regions taking the opportunity to seek cooperation online.
Through cross-border e-commerce, cross-border logistics, cross-border live streaming, cross-border exhibitions, cross-border alliances and other initiatives, the current GCIF aims to provide all-weather online promotion, supply and docking services, create an online foreign trade platform for featured commodities, and promote the digitalization of Jilin's industrial chain to the sea.
On the same day, the first Jilin International Commodity Cross-border Development Forum was held simultaneously. Many participants expressed concern about the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic on the world economy, but were optimistic about the economic cooperation mode and exhibition mode from face-to-face to screen-to-screen.

Kim Kwang-il, trade representative of the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, said that since the outbreak of the epidemic, Ulsan, Incheon and other places in South Korea have held a number of online negotiation activities with Changchun, and through more than 100 one-on-one online negotiations, new business opportunities have been provided for enterprises of the two countries.
Jin Guangri believes that Jilin province does not have a port, compared with China's coastal cities, logistics competitiveness is insufficient. "But cross-border e-commerce can break through geographical and time constraints, and for Jilin Province, it is a way to compete with coastal cities and achieve new development."
President of the Federation of Far Eastern Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Stoubnitsky Boris Vladimirovich, said that the Russian Far East region and Jilin Province have very close cooperation, in the context of the epidemic, online trading will help the two sides to consolidate the results of cooperation, and can further expand the scale of trade and improve the quality of cooperation.
Sun Guohua, deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, said that the Jilin Fair will help promote the transformation of international trade methods, tap the potential of foreign markets, enhance the scale and level of trade, and will build the Jilin Fair into a new platform for all-round opening up of Jilin Province "to buy and sell globally".
