New Red flag adopts a new family design language, with "Shang · Zhi · Yi" as the key, expressing emotions and fully deducing the design concept of "Chinese new noble refinement". In the future, the new Red Flag family will include L, S, H, Q four series of products. On October 30, 2018, Red Flag brand released R.LAG "阩 flag" technology brand, and elaborated the future technology development plan for the first time. On January 8, 2023, Red Flag Brand released the global strategy for new energy vehicles, comprehensively elaborating the future strategic vision, target planning and innovative measures. In the new era, China FAW further improves the overall brand structure of the "big family" of the Red Flag brand, that is, under the "Red Flag" main brand, the four sub-brands of "new energy vehicles", "energy-saving vehicles", "Red Flag top cars" and "super sports cars" are built. By 2025, the total sales volume of Red Flag brand will reach 1 million units, of which the sales volume of new energy vehicles will exceed 500,000; By 2030, the sales volume of Red Flag brand will exceed 1.5 million, of which new energy vehicles will become the main sales.

On July 13, 1956, the first domestic liberation brand car CA10 drove off the assembly line, ending the history of new China's inability to manufacture cars. In the 1980s, FAW independently developed and produced the second-generation Jiefang CA141 truck under the promotion of China's reform and opening up policy. At the end of the 1990s, it independently developed and produced the third and fourth generation products, realizing the transformation of truck production into diesel and head.

On January 18, 2003, FAW restructured the core business of medium and heavy trucks, established FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., LTD., and successfully launched the Jiefang fifth, sixth and seventh generation heavy truck products. In 2014, it began to expand to the field of light vehicles, and realized the product pattern of heavy vehicles, medium, heavy and light development simultaneously. After more than 60 years of development, FAW Jiefang has become the first commercial vehicle manufacturer in China.
