73 million youth could not find sustainable and meaningful work in 2022 — 6 million more than pre-pandemic levels.
More than 1 in 4 young people are not currently employed, being educated or in any formal training program.
Prolonged school closures put 24 million learners — from pre-primary to university levels — at risk of not returning to school.

Yimy was malnourished and unwell when he began participating in Children International programs at just 9 years old. His health immediately improved once he had access to our free medical services. As a young adult, he participated in several programs, such as tutoring, social and financial literacy and emotional well-being. Yimy was poised to forge his path out of poverty.
