These purple stones are gorgeous and I'm calling them rivoli--is that correct? When I look up rivoli they don't look quite the same. Is there another name for this type?

Brass? Trinket Box Marking
I have what I think is brass but not positive trinket box. How do I know if it’s brass? Magnet doesn’t attract. It got a silver colored cat on top. And on the back it is marked “73”. I’m just trying to find out if it’s brass and what the 73 means.
