The packaging of some food products in the United States is printed with the pattern of livestock nibbling in green pastures, which makes people feel that the food origin is natural, sanitary and free from industrial pollution. But, "Food, Inc." tells viewers, this is an illusion. The film tells the audience that the livestock industry in the United States extensively uses industrial technologies to raise livestock, which have negative health effects, such as obesity, diabetes, salmonella infections, and environmental pollution.

Shooting process

Michael Boillon wrongly seeks to find, and it's all Paplen, who says in the film that the industrial practice of confining livestock "relies on the addition of antibiotics to feed, leading to some diseases that are resistant to antibiotics." Several large meat companies in the United States refused to allow film crews to film their production processes. Some of the livestock facilities featured in the film were secretly photographed by workers working there. The screen shows that Jin super attack full of wide Li will also Huang, those farms are narrow space. Carol Morrison, a Maryland farmer, agreed to the crew's request to film the show. Footage shows her chickens dying or falling ill before being shipped to market. Morrison says the situation is partly due to antibiotics in the feed that increase the weight of livestock eggs rapidly. The film mentions a farm that supplies a large supermarket chain. Mr. Kim would like to add a commentary to the film, saying that the farm produces organic products because there is a market demand. [7]

fold Edit this paragraph Film evaluation

食品公司Food companyThe "inside story" documented in the documentary "Food, Inc." made many people feel "shocking," and anger against the modern food industry was reignited. It is not actually a "science documentary" but a crusade against the capitalist mode of production. But for a variety of reasons, viewers seem to be less concerned about "capitalism" and more concerned about using this documentary to judge what they should eat and what they should not eat.

Political and economic issues aside, the documentary begins by pointing out that the way food is produced and processed has changed more than it has in the past 10,000 years, with the subtext that "change is bad." This subtext misses the point: science and technology are advancing faster and faster, with more changes in almost every field than in the past 10,000 years. In fact, change is not the problem, the problem is whether the change brings good or bad things to people. But the film avoids that. When it comes to food, many people go for "nature." The problem is that agricultural production itself is an "unnatural" activity.

Another emotional point of the film is industrial chicken farming, and if the film is talking about "animal welfare," these claims would be powerful. But on the issue of food, it is only necessary to discuss whether such chicken is "nutritious", "harmful", "how much to sell". "Food, Inc." has no intention of answering these questions. Once again, the producer conveys his "idea" through "sensationalism." Once the audience accepts the sensationalism, it often ignores what should be basic common sense.

食品公司Food companyOf course, the modern food industry itself is not without problems, but what society needs is how to solve concrete problems, not simple opposition. "Food, Inc." may not be much of a problem when it is merely used as a critique of capitalism, but it is not an appropriate tool for probing the mysteries of the dinner table.(Review by The Beijing News)

The film combines the aesthetics of film with the serious topic of food through meaningful images, sarcastic dialogue and clever techniques. The two main characters, Schlawse and Pollan, take the audience into the unknown "food hell". But Joe Salatine also brings hope to the film, showing the audience how normal legal means can save American agriculture and people's poor digestive system. The film needs a passionate and logical mind like Salatine's to look at the many facets of the problem.

Food Insider exposes problems in the food industry at a variety of levels, from the weak regulatory capabilities of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to who gets key positions in government for businesses and agricultural executives. But what really touches the heart of the film is the way it tells the story of a huge food industry in an intimate, personal way. Let people realize that the consumption of food is really a multiple choice. (Sina Entertainment Review) [9]
