The ICANN Board has selected Kurt Erik “Kurtis” Lindqvist as the next ICANN President and CEO. Lindqvist is an industry leader who brings more than 30 years of experience in the business development of Internet Service Providers and worldwide network carriers, and deep experience in the ICANN community. ICANN closed the call for applications for the first cycle of the ICANN Grant Program, as planned on 24 May 2024. ICANN is absolutely delighted with the response to the program and is proud to report back that it received a total of 247 applications.
