The reporter learned in the Municipal Agricultural Commission (Municipal Grain Bureau) that the city has purchased a total of 1,304,200 tons of grain, and the total purchase increased by 209,100 tons before the Spring Festival. Among them, 653,700 tons of policy-based grain was purchased into the storage in the city (among which, 69,700 tons of corn were purchased from 1 central grain rotation storage point, 521,600 tons of corn were purchased from 29 national temporary storage points, and 62,400 tons of rice were purchased from 4 storage points at low purchase prices); Non-policy grain enterprises purchased 650,500 tons. Among them, 590,700 tons of corn and 59,800 tons of rice.
After the Spring Festival, the national temporary storage corn purchase depot resumed the grain purchase work in a timely manner, and most private enterprises also began to purchase activities, the purchase price of corn rose slightly before the Spring Festival, and the price of corn purchased by non-policy enterprises rose by 13 yuan/ton. According to the investigation, if the influence of outflow factors is not considered, the remaining grain in the hands of farmers in our city is about 500,000 tons, which is basically corn.
Now less than 2 months from the end of the policy grain purchase, it is expected that after the purchase of temporary storage corn, the price of corn in our province is more likely to decline, and with the gradual recovery of temperature, it will increase the possibility of corn mildew and other bad grains. In this regard, the Municipal Agricultural Commission (Municipal Grain Bureau) reminded farmers that they should sell their surplus grain as soon as possible before the purchase of corn in storage.
