Research on Corruption

UNODC adopts an evidence-based approach to quantify the extent and describe the patterns of corruption at country level. Information on experience of corruption is gathered through sample surveys on different targets - general population, business sector, civil servants - following strict methodological standards. UNODC is also the leading agency in developing the methodology for measuring corruption, both among the population and the private sector.
