Zhang was sentenced to five days of administrative detention for disturbing public order.
During Zhang's administrative detention, Tesla released the data one minute before the brake accident to the media, and Zhang's husband repeatedly voiced in Shanghai, and said that Tesla's behavior was improper in releasing driving data to the media without the consent of the owner and his family.
