Third, solid steps have been taken to integrate the manufacturing industry with the Internet. The level of intelligent manufacturing has been significantly improved, standard architecture has taken initial shape, new breakthroughs have been made in the research and development and application of a number of core technologies and equipment, some new models of intelligent manufacturing have begun to be replicated and promoted, and Internet-based "mass innovation" platforms have grown rapidly. The penetration rate of digital design tools in enterprises exceeded 61.8%, and the numerical control rate of key processes reached 45.4%. The industrial Internet has developed rapidly, and the implementation of the two integrated management systems has made solid progress.

Fourth, the industrial structure continued to improve. The transformation and upgrading of traditional industries was accelerated. Smooth progress was made in phasing out backward production capacity and reducing excess capacity. Strategic emerging industries and advanced manufacturing industries grew rapidly, and new forms and models of business kept emerging. Strategic emerging industries accounted for about 8% of GDP in 2015. Robotics, mobile Internet, cloud computing, big data and other industries have grown rapidly, and the new energy vehicle market has shown explosive growth, ranking first in the world in annual sales for two consecutive years.
