Around 1949, the three premises belonged to the eighth district of Daxing County and Tongxian County. In September 1958, it belongs to Shuangqiao People's Commune in Chaoyang District. In May 1971, a three-room production team was established. In 1972, three rooms were established. In May 1984, Sanjianfang production Brigade changed to Sanjianfang Township. In March 2003, it set up a three-room regional office, and implemented "one set of people, two brands" with the three-room township.

Sanfang Township
In 2004, part of Guanzhuang Street was merged into Sanjianfang Township.
At the end of 2011, Sanjianfang Township has jurisdiction over 13 resident committees: Fuyi Yuan, Meiran Power, Dingbei Li, Dingnanli, Dingnanli, Shuanghui Yuan, Oasis Home, Shuangqiao Railway, Shuangliu, Yishui Fangyuan and Shuangqiao Road. Dingfu Zhuang West, Dingfu Zhuang East, Yuchupo, White House, three rooms west, three landlords, new house, Xiliu, East Liu, North Double bridge, Jinjia 11 villagers committee. It consists of 375 resident groups and 56 village groups.

Origin of geographical names
At the end of the Ming Dynasty, on the north side of the ancient road from Chaoyangmen to Tongzhou, there were three families, Dong, Bai and Zhang, and their handmade workshops gradually flourished and formed a market, known as "three home Fang" and later named three rooms. It got its name from the town government's residence here.
