There are two kinds of physical geographical features in this area: one is the eastern Archean rock base lowland; The other is the alpine landscape in the west, which accounts for two-thirds of the total area of the reserve. The former was formed later, and glaciers played an important role in the formation of this landscape. The current appearance of flora and fauna is evidence of a phenomenon known as clustering after the retreat of a glacier 9,000 years ago. Salek Mountain and Great Lakes Falls National Park 's Nordic Alps The landscape is famous for its high mountains, deep valleys and rushing rivers. There are more than 200 peaks of more than 1,800 meters and more than 100 glaciers. The Payalanta region is a plateau surrounded by two large lakes, Lake Vasten and Lake Veri. Lake Veri has been called "the most beautiful lake in Sweden". The lowland areas of Chavernhal and Mudez are plains with some remaining hills. That is to say, it is a vast plain covered by coniferous forests and lakes, with a few solitary round hills.
Glaciation has played an important role in the formation of the local landscape, such as the vertical walls of more than 100 meters deep, deep valleys cut by meltwater and the valley of the Kulsu River, ice plains, glacial boulder scratches, tundra, U-shaped valleys, mortar, moraine, glacial deposits, ice mounds, weathering phenomena and domed peat mounds. The climate in the west is cold Marine climate Most of the areas with the highest rainfall are directly exposed to westerly winds. In the east, there is less rainfall and the climate is more continental. The quaint pine river fir forest covers nearly 100,000 ha, and various types of swamps cover another 100,000 ha. The latter is the largest unspoiled marshland in Western Europe. For botanists, it is an interesting mountainous region rich in Alpine flora. The Padjelanta Ranch and the unique Jackna Mountain provide a home for many rare wildlife. The eastern lowlands are covered with coniferous forests, and the oldest trees in the Mulders pine forest are over 700 years old.

The northern part of Sweden is home to the Sami people. It was the largest and last area where people lived in ancestral ways, based on the periodic movement of livestock. Every summer, the Sami herd their reindeer to the mountains and through natural storm areas, which are still preserved today, only threatened by cars. We can see historical and present geological processes in moraines and changes in water routes. The area is beautiful with deep valleys and fast-flowing rivers.
