The climate of Chuvash is
Temperate continental climate
Winters are mild and summers are warm. The winter temperature is -17℃ ~ -7℃, the summer temperature is 15℃ ~ 23℃, and the plant growth period is about 180 days.

The main natural resource of the Republic of Chuvash is the forest, which accounts for 32% of the land area of the region, with the main forest belts located in Prisuriye and Zavorzhye. The main tree species are pine, spruce, birch and oak. The Chuvash Republic is part of the Volga-Vyatka Economic Zone, which consists of three main economic zones: the Northern Economic Zone - basic industrial zone, mainly machinery manufacturing, steel processing, chemical, textile and food industries. Cereals, potatoes, hemp, hops and vegetables are commonly grown in the area. Southeast Economic zone - agricultural farming area, most of the commodity grain; Southwest Economic zone - Prisuriyem, machinery manufacturing developed area and wood processing and forestry developed area.
