In January, the thirty-eighth year of the Republic of China (1949), it belongs to the fifteenth district of Beiping City. September 1952, Nanyuan District. In November 1959, Lao Jun Hall and eighteen Li Shop workstation belonged to Chaoyang Commune. In July 1961, Laojuntang and Shibalidian became independent communes respectively, located in Laojuntang Village and Shibalidian Village. In May 1965, Laojuntang Commune merged into the Shibalidian Commune and was stationed in Shibalidian Village. In 1983, the commune was converted into a township. In March 2003, it set up a regional office of 18 Lidian, and implemented "one set of people, two brands" with 18 Lidian Township.

In December 1956, the village and township governments were merged and renamed the Township People's Committee. Nanyang Zhuang, West straight River, Zhangjiadian 3 township into Lao Jun Tang Township, Lao Jun Tang. Lyu Jiaying, ten Lihe, West bird's nest 3 township merged into eighteen Lidian Township, in eighteen Lidian village.
In January 1958, Xiaohongmen, Laojuntang and Shibalidian three townships were assigned

. In November, Heping, Chaoyang, Happiness, Hongguang 4 people's communes were built. Hongguang Commune has jurisdiction over three management stations: small red gate, Laojun Hall and eighteen Li Shop.

At the end of 2011, it had seven resident committees: Baiwall, Hongshan Temple, Liudaokou, former Qizhuang, later Qizhuang, Laojun Tang, Hongshan Homeland, and eight villagers committees: Laojun Tang, West Straight River, Zhouzhuang, Xiaowuji, Shilihe, 18 Lidian, Lyu Jiaying, Hengjie. It consists of 88 resident groups and 51 village groups.
