On February 3, 2022, in order to actively implement the recommendations and requirements of the Olympic Charter and Olympic Agenda 2020+5 on "gender equality" and "inclusiveness", the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee issued the "Commitment to Promote gender Equality".

The Commitment to Promote Gender Equality is based on China's basic national policy of "equality between men and women" and follows the basic principles of the IOC Gender Equality and Inclusion Goals (2021-2024), taking the preparation and hosting of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games as an opportunity. The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games (BOCOG) has made 14 commitments in the four areas of equal participation, providing a safe sports environment, promoting gender equality at work and guaranteeing equal rights and interests at work, actively taking effective measures to promote gender equality through sports, and advocating all stakeholders to fulfill these commitments and take positive actions. Work together to achieve gender equality and build an inclusive society.

Equality between men and women is a basic state policy of China. The Chinese government has always given high priority to protecting women's rights and interests, promoting women's development and promoting gender equality. Following the purposes of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women, and implementing the development goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (especially Goal 5) : To achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls) and to make a positive contribution to advancing the cause of women and promoting gender equality around the world.
Under the premise of following the basic national policy, the Beijing Organizing Committee of the Winter Olympic Games has committed to actively implement the recommendations and requirements of the Olympic Charter and Olympic Agenda 2020 on gender equality and diversity in the preparation and hosting of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, and to take the hosting of the Olympic Games as an opportunity to promote gender equality and the construction of an inclusive society
