The China and Japan News was formed by the merger of two newspapers, namely "No title" and "Jincheng News (Jincheng たより)" (both founded in 1886). On September 1, 1942, the Japanese government issued an order on the merger and reorganization of newspapers named "One Prefecture One Newspaper". After the reorganization of "Shinaichi" (without title, the operating organization was named "Shinaichi Newspaper (Shinaichi Shimbun)") and "Nagoya Shimbun" (Kinjo Izoyo Newspaper (Kinjo たより), The name of the operating organization was "Nagoya Shimbun (Nagoya Shimbun)"), which was merged into "Chubu Japan News" and changed to its current name "Sino-Japan News" on January 1, 1965. It has local editions in Aichi, Gifu, Shiga, Mie, Shizuoka, Fukui and Nagano prefectures.
