The name of the station was used after it moved to Beiping on March 25, 1949.
On September 1 of the same year, it was renamed Beijing Xinhua Radio Station No. 2, and on September 27, it was renamed Beijing Xinhua Radio Station No. 2

Beijing People's Radio Station
Originally used as the station name, broadcasts began on February 2, 1949, and on March 25 of the same year,
Northern Shaanxi Xinhua Radio Station
After moving to Beijing to use this name, the station was renamed Beiping People's Radio Station.
On September 1 of the same year, it was renamed Beijing Xinhua Radio Station No. 2, and on September 27, it was changed to Beijing Xinhua Radio Station No. 2

. On December 5, it was renamed Beijing People's Radio Station, and on March 11, 1951, it was renamed Beijing People's Radio Station.

On May 31, 2010, Beijing People's Radio was integrated with Beijing Television and Beijing Media Group to become Beijing Radio and Television.
