On March 2, 2019, the former Zhangjiakou South Railway Station was renamed Zhangjiakou Railway Station, and the former Shalingzi West Railway Station was renamed Zhangjiakou South Railway Station. (The original Zhangjiakou South Railway Station was completed and put into use in 1957.)
In 2013, the construction of Shalingzi West Railway Station began to handle freight business.
In 2017, the former Zhangjiakou South Railway Station was demolished and rebuilt, and the passenger and freight business was transferred to Shalingzi West Railway Station (now Zhangjiakou South Railway Station).
On February 28, 2019, all business of the former Zhangjiakou Station was suspended. On March 2, the former Zhangjiakou South Railway Station was renamed

The original Shalingzi West Station was renamed Zhangjiakou South Station.
At 1 am on January 1, 2020, Zhangjiakou South Railway Station (formerly Shalingzi West Railway Station) suspended all passenger services.
The total construction area of Zhangjiakou South Railway Station is about 5000 square meters. The scale is 2 8-line, with 6 arrival and departure lines (including trucks and military train arrival and departure lines), mainly sending Jing-Bao, Fengsha, Zhangji railway direction of general speed trains.
