No longer afraid of group chat bombing! Android 15 added notification cooling function description
Tired of your phone buzzing with notifications from the same source? In the recently released first developer preview of Android 15, Google introduced a new feature called "Notification Cooling" that aims to solve this annoying problem.
We note that "Notification Cooling" is turned on by default, and users can choose to apply it to all notifications or limit it to conversation notifications. For users who are often bombarded by lively group chat messages, this feature is undoubtedly very practical.
Specifically, when the same app or conversation sends a notification for the first time, the phone voice volume will remain normal, but the volume of subsequent notifications from the same source will gradually decrease. It's worth noting that these repeated notifications don't mute completely, but instead alert users to the fact that they're from the same source through volume changes. This means that even if you choose to ignore a notification, you'll be able to tell the difference by sound when a new one arrives.
It should be noted that the "Notification Cooling" feature has an unknown cooling timer that will reset after a period of time. Once reset, a new notification is issued at full volume, even from the same app or conversation as the previous notification, and there is currently no way to customize the cooldown timer.
Google's official description of "Notification cooling" is that it "gradually reduces the volume of notifications when you receive many consecutive notifications from the same app."
The addition of "Notification cooling" will undoubtedly bring an increasingly user-friendly experience to Android 15, but it won't replace existing notification management options. Google plans to have Android 15 "platform stable" in June of this year, and the official release to the general public is still months away.
What is the use of android15 notification cooling work
- 1, recently released by Google Android 15 Developer preview version introduced an innovative "notification cooling" function, can effectively solve the phone continuous vibration phenomenon.
- 2. Google explains this feature in detail: "If you receive a large number of consecutive notifications from the same app, the volume of notifications will automatically decrease."
- 3. In other words, when the same app or chat sends a notification for the first time, the phone's sound is in normal gear.
- 4, however, after a short period of time frequently push notifications from the same source, the volume will slowly drop.
- 5, note that this volume adjustment is not completely silent, but a clear reminder that the user has a notification from the same app or chat. This way, when a new notification appears, users can identify the source based on the voice.
- 6. Importantly, this smart feature is enabled by default, and users can choose to limit it to certain types of notifications, such as conversation notifications only. This is a great help for users who are frequently bombarded with group chat messages.
