The rising sand at the southern end. In 1935, the Chinese government announced the name Golden Shield Sand. It has been illegally occupied by Vietnam since 1998.

Rising sand at the southern end, depth 10.9 m. Latitude 7 degrees 32 'north, longitude 111 degrees 32' east. The beach is in the shape of a pistol, running from northeast to southwest to south, with a length of 13.64km and a width of 5.12km.

In 1935, it was named Golden Shield Sand. Some foreign language books are called Kingston Shoal.
