CCTV News channel
A purely critical program. It does not collect news, but comments, analyzes and interprets the most compelling and talkative content of news facts provided by various media. In news channels, it functions as a "current commentary" or commentator's article for print media. If you can sum up the pursuit of this column in one sentence, it is - through the phenomenon to say the essence.
In addition to international news, hot news and hot topics at all levels of domestic society, politics, economy and culture are within its vision. Of course, it may pay more attention to all kinds of meaningful social news and current political news, and its attention to other facts may also focus more on the social implications of such facts in the context of the big times.
Only in terms of the object of attention, it cannot be completely different from other current affairs programs, because it must focus on what others have paid attention to. However, the way they focus and the Angle of penetration are completely different.
First of all, the selling point of various current affairs programs is the news itself, the unique and wonderful news facts, while the feature of CCTV Forum is to speak through the news, to say the background and views hidden behind the news, beyond the news.
Second, although in-depth current affairs reports also contain comments, such comments are mainly embodied in the collection of expert opinions. In the CCTV Forum, the speakers are the media themselves, and they speak directly on behalf of the media as "commentators of the station" or "special commentators".
Pure commentary, pure media voice, a new TV style, this is the "CCTV Forum" is different from other TV features.
[3]
Although CCTV Forum has stipulated stylistic features different from other columns, these are not enough, we must build a performance style that meets the stylistic requirements of "TV commentary", and the reason for the column's existence will be more sufficient. This style is reflected as follows:
-
A whole new conversation character. As mentioned earlier, the speakers of the CCTV Forum are a relatively stable group known as "our commentators" and "guest commentators". Their professional standard is no longer to "speak with the facts" or "hide their opinions in the facts", but to express their opinions directly and publicly, and their position is the position of the media.
-
A whole new way of talking. The establishment of a new way of conversation is not only the need for the survival and development space of CCTV Forum, which is different from other talk programs, but also the internal requirement of a new TV style. And the relative stability of the commentator team also provides a prerequisite for the formation of such a new way.
The meaning of the so-called "new way of talking" should be explored and enriched in future practice, but for now, we can at least set a few principles:
-
Language charm. We are not satisfied with the general rigorous, clear expression, we oppose the seemingly sound, one, two, three, four, but in fact empty, dull and boring tone. Our commentators and guest commentators can be easygoing, but they have to be fun; Can be serious, but full of wisdom; It can be elegant, but it's hard to read. Their personalities can be different, but they must be expressed with intelligence and verbal charm.
-
Debate color. Debate itself is a "good-looking" factor, and the process of debate is also an objective reflection of the cognitive process of the nature of things. What we tell the audience in the conversation is not only the conclusion, but also the process of reaching the conclusion, which is a respect for the audience's intelligence.
Our conversation process is usually between the moderator and the commentator. The main job of the moderator is not to ask questions, but to have conversations. He must presuppose different points of view to challenge the comments of guest commentators, thus giving the process of conversation a polemical color and making the process full of tension.
Of course, a "debate" is essentially a discussion, and the purpose of the commentator's questioning is not to undermine the opponent, but to make the opponent's conclusion look more airtight.
