Subpolar low
At high altitude, the updraft divides into two streams, one to the south and the other to the north. A southward current sinks over the subtropical region, forming a mid-latitude loop that runs in the opposite direction of the Hadley circulation
Circulation ring
It rises to the north and sinks to the south, so it is called the anti-circulation circle, also known as the Ferrel circulation circle. A northerly stream of air that rises to the pole cools and sinks, forming a belt of polar high pressure.
