The Grand Mansion Gate is a TV drama based on a true story. The prototype of the Baicao Hall in the play is the Tong Ren Tang in the late Qing Dynasty. Guo Baochang, the show's director and screenwriter, has lived in the mansion for 26 years. Out of various considerations, but also in order to protect the work, Guo Baochang not only changed the Tong Ren Tang into the hundred grass Hall in the drama, but also changed the original four rooms into three rooms, and carried out necessary artistic processing when creating characters. ^[18]
