Nippon Television Corporation (Japanese: テレビ Nippon Television Co., LTD.), commonly known as Nippon Television (Japan テレビ), abbreviated as テレ (Nippon TV) and NTV, is a radio television station broadcasting in the Kanto Wide Area of Japan. It was also the first commercial television station established and launched in Japan. Because of its identification call sign JOAX-DTV, it is also referred to as "AX" in the industry.

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Japan Television launched a new logo with the theme "Once Again, Starting from Zero, Moving towards the next 60 years". The most distinctive "0" pattern of the new platform logo is a metaphor for the Chinese character "day". Nippon Television also released a new logo for the 70th anniversary.

The NTV logo was used in 1958, the first generation of the logo was used in 1978, the mascot logo was used in 2002, and the last one was used in 2014.
The call sign at the end of each midnight broadcast is three pigeons standing in a loft and flapping their wings, with the JOAX-DTV call sign. On September 21, 2023, the company's board of directors announced that it would acquire 42.3% of Studio Ghibli's equity and would include Studio Ghibli as a subsidiary through the signing of an agreement to support Studio Ghibli's operation and management. At a board meeting held on the same day, Studio Ghibli approved the transfer of equity to Sunvision. The transaction is expected to close on October 6.
