The boundary hill with the central region. It stretches from northeast to southwest and is about 170 km long. Including many mountains such as Asahi, 1,500-2,000 meters above sea level, the southern tip of the Taishi mountain 2,060 meters above sea level, and its adjacent Suiyue (2,346 meters above sea level) is the highest mountain in northeast Japan. Mountain rivers such as Agano River have large hydropower reserves. Rich virgin forest. There are gold, silver and other minerals.
