From 2005 to 2009, Guangzhou No.86 Middle School successively won the first prize of Guangzhou senior high School graduating class work, ranking 33 in the city from the average admission of senior high school to 16 in the city's college entrance examination awards, achieving more than 12 demonstration high schools in the college entrance examination awards, and becoming the school with the largest improvement among the 25 demonstration high schools in Guangzhou.
In June 2006, Guangzhou 86th Middle School passed the first batch of national demonstration ordinary high school supervision and acceptance.
In December 2007, Guangzhou No.86 Middle School passed the two evaluation of Model High School recognition and teaching level of Guangdong Province with excellent grade.
