1919年10月,赵紫阳同志出生于河南省滑县。
He joined the Communist Youth League of China in March 1932. He studied in Hua County No. 1 High School, Kaifeng No. 1 High School and Wuhan.
In February 1938, he joined the Communist Party of China and studied in the Party School of Jilu-yu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. Successively served as secretary of the Hua County Working Committee and County Party Committee, Minister of Organization Department and Minister of Propaganda Department of the North Henan Local Party Committee.
In April 1940, he was appointed secretary of the Second District Committee (later renamed the Sixth District Committee) of the Jiluyu Border Area of the Communist Party of China.
In 1943, he became the head of the Propaganda Department of the Fourth Local Committee of the Jiluyu Border Area of the Communist Party of China.
After May 1944, he served as deputy Secretary of the Local Party Committee and deputy Political Commissar of the military subdivision, Secretary of the local Party Committee and political commissar of the military subdivision.
In the autumn of 1947, he led the local troops to the south with the 10th column of the Jinji-Lu-Henan Field Army, and in December he became deputy secretary of the CPC Tongbai District Party Committee and deputy political commissar of the Tongbai Military District.
In March 1949, he was appointed secretary of the Nanyang Local Committee of the Communist Party of China and political commissar of the Nanyang Army sub-district.
After October 1949, he served as the standing Committee member, Secretary-General, Director of the General Office of the South China Branch of the CPC Central Committee, Minister of Rural Work Department, deputy secretary, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and other positions.
After 1960, he successively served as the standing Secretary, second secretary and first Secretary of the Secretariat of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, secretary of the Secretariat of the Central and Southern Bureau of the Communist Party of China, and the third Political commissar of the Guangzhou Military Region.
From 1966 to 1971, he was persecuted during the "Cultural Revolution" and worked in factories. [1]
After 1971, he served as Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee (at that time there was a first secretary), deputy director of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Reform Committee, and first secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee.
In October 1975, he became the first secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the first political commissar of the Chengdu Military Region.
From February 1978 to June 1983, he served as Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
In September 1979, he was co-elected as a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee.
In February 1980, he was co-elected to the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee. In April, he was appointed Vice Premier of The State Council. In September, he became Premier of The State Council.
In June 1981, he was elected Vice Chairman of the CPC Central Committee at the Sixth Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee.
In January 1987, he was elected acting General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee at the enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and in November of the same year, he was elected General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee at the first Plenary session of the 13th CPC Central Committee, and the first vice chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission.
In April 1988, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China at the first session of the Seventh National People's Congress.
In July of the same year, the eighth session of the Standing Committee of the seventh National People's Congress removed him from the post of vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China.
2005年1月17日,赵紫阳同志因病医治无效,在北京逝世,终年85岁。 [2]
