2002 Busan Asian Games emblem [2]
The design of the emblem is composed of Taeguk, which symbolizes the host country of Korea and Busan, and the blue waves of the sea.
Tai Chi expresses the spiritual culture of the Asian circle in harmony with Yin and Yang, and the waves extending outward reflect our spirit and ambition of forging ahead and defying challenges. The meshing pattern uses the shape of tiles in traditional Korean architecture, symbolizing the female tile and the tile.
The dynamic picture of two forces meshing and rotating in the center vividly expresses the idea of Asian people and the strength of unity that transcends national borders.
