The program tells the story of the past seven days in the field of vision and the world outside the field of vision in an easy way, and reproduces the news from a different perspective from other news programs, excavates the other side of the news, and tells the story behind one news after another.

The program was first broadcast on November 26, 2000, on the first program of the former CCTV, on May 4, 2003, on the CCTV News Channel, and officially ceased broadcasting on March 24, 2008, due to the revision of the news channel.
